Monach Farm Riding Stables
Then join our work based learning course and gain your City and Guilds QCF Level 1 in Horse Care. What does it involve? 2 ½ hours classroom based learning – evenings or weekends 8 hours a week practical yard time – at your own convenience. This is done on a drop in time sheet basis; it doesn’t matter if you don’t manage 8 hours every week as long as you complete 300 over the year. Riding is optional on all courses. All sessions are taught at the farm in our classrooms (or in deep winter in Ems kitchen) and all assessments are carried out by our staff on the yard being watched by a college verifier. Your course Tutor Emily Randall has run Monach Farm Stables for over 20 years & as part of the College of West Anglia Outreach scheme has been teaching NVQ levels 1,2 & 3 and National Diploma for 8 years. Emily holds the British Horse Society Grooms Certificate, The Association of British riding Schools Teaching Award, her City & guilds 7407 Adult Teaching Award and A1 assessors award as well as an HND in Rural Land Management from Plymouth University. Term will start on Thursday 8th September. What will it cost? That depends onyour previous qualifications and age. All students under 19 are funded by the college, Some funding is available for over 19s depending on previous qualifications. For those over 19 the maximum college fee is £250.00 for the year, if you already have a Higher Diploma or Degree or other level 2 or above qualification.
